Introduction
My life and career continues to be an interesting journey. I am a husband and a father. I have been a police officer, an entrepreneur, a socially responsible investment adviser, a consultant, and non-profit executive. I have watched children come into this world, broken-up bar fights and arrested murderers, held the hands of the grieving, served the homeless, and provided leadership to large multi-cultural non-profit organizations. I met the Pope and it was as awesome as you would imagine. I have received awards and applause which felt great. I have also made mistakes and that did not feel so great. My entire career has been in the people business. It is edifying, maddening, inspiring, challenging, and never dull. Profesional Biography
Bill Gorman is the founder and managing principal of Alacritas Advisers, LLC. He has served as a multi-year Interim-Executive Director of an organization focused on people experiencing homelessness. Bill has also served as a chief operating officer in a large faith-based nonprofit and a liberal arts university. ​Furthermore, he has worked with numerous non-profit organizations, including faith-based institutions, human and social services, assisted and independent living, workforce housing, advocacy groups, foundations, primary and secondary education, higher education, and government.

Experience ​
Passionate about cause sector organizations, William has provided strategic counsel to dozens of organizations regarding their strategic planning and implementation efforts. Additionally, William has participated in or led advocacy efforts on behalf of people with developmental differences, migrants and refugees at the local and national level, better access to health care, and services for children, youth, and families at the local and state level.

William has furthered and been responsible for a university, a system of 98 K-12 schools, operations in 215 locations, 23 subsidiary corporations, two newspapers, two hotels in the United States and one in Austria (with restaurant and brewery), along with functional areas such as Finance, Advancement, Communications, Real Estate, Information Technology, Admissions and Enrollment, Human Resources, and Public Affairs.​

1. Standards of Excellence Council Member: Standards for Excellence Institute®. ​The Standards for Excellence Institute® is a national initiative established to promote the highest standards of ethics, effectiveness, and accountability in nonprofit governance, management, and operations, and to help all nonprofit organizations meet these high benchmarks. The program is a system of nonprofit sector self-regulation and replicated by state, regional, and national associations and support organizations.

2. Chair and a Commissioner: Calvert County, Maryland Housing Authority which oversees the direct housing of 618 impoverished households.

3. Director: Calvert Affordable Housing Alliance is a local non-profit working to create housing for low-income families, individuals who are disabled, and veterans struggling to obtain housing.

4. Founder: Fair Towing Alliance ~ Dedicated to creating just policies regarding the towing of cars owned by people experiencing homelessness or living in poverty.
